North American T-28C Trojan

@ Oshkosh, WI

July 2010

This T-28 is ready to land after participating in a flight demonstration at Oshkosh Airventure.  The Trojan is a 1950’s era training aircraft that was used by the Air Force and Navy, along with armed forces around the world, and eventually replaced by the T-34C Mentor.  The T-28C was a Naval variant with shortened propeller blades and a tailhook for carrier-landing training. The T-28 saw combat roles in Vietnam and Laos after being modified to carry weapons and ordnance. More than 1,900 were produced between 1950-1957.  Nikon D300 w/70-200mm.
