Boeing EA-18G Growler

@Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, WA

May 2013

This Growler is a specialized version of the two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 132 (VAQ-132), the “Scorpions”. The EA-18G will replace the Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowlers in service with the United States Navy.  Only 117 of these versions were built and, as of 2014, the end of production appears certain.   This image was taken during an ISAP photo field trip to Whidbey Island NAS.  Nikon D300 w 18-200 mm, processing with Aperture and Photomatix.
